Inova Mount Vernon Emergency Power Upgrades

ADI built an entirely new emergency power system for Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Three 1MW Detroit Diesel gensets, a 4,000-amp Asco paralleling gear, and a 10,000 gallon aboce-ground fuel tank were installed. Inside the hospital, a completely new emergency power electric room was built in an existing crawl space. The new emergency power room includes a 4,000-amp GE switchboard and all new Asco emergency transfer switches. Tying in the new emergency power distribution equipment required nine emergency power and normal power outages throughout the hospital.
